Habitats: Water habitats: ponds, lakes, streems, rivers.
Areal type: Mediterranean complex

Europe: France, Spain, Latvia, Litvuana, Estonia (extinct), Greece, Georgia,. England & Italy (introduced)
Asia: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Syria, Iran, Kazakhstan, W-Arabian peninsula, China (Xinjiang), Afghanistan, Pakistan.
